Timeless Clock... Poetry cannot be confined. It is love and heartbreak... life and death. sweet and innocent...raw and unadulterated. It is the bridge that connects the past, present, and future. It is...timeless. Find your timeless connection in poetry such as.
Lost Understanding... When you don't care who's climbing into your sheets.
Thick and Thin... When you fight through the thick until it's just gotten too thin.
My World... When all you want to do is make reality right.
If it makes you feel better... A poetic response to Monifah's R&B classic, "He's Mine"
Don't Wake me... When you want that dream to last forever.
For Poetry that stands the tests of time, enjoy Timeless Clock
Timeless Clock eBook Vulyncia Poindexter
This is poetry that is open, honest, and full of raw emotion. This is not the flowers and the trees type poetry. The author digs in her heels and doesn't let up until the end of the book. She lays out her thoughts on her "no-good" father and expresses her love for the language of sex. She comes clean about wanting old flames back and tells her mommy (who is now passed) that she's proud of her.I could relate on many levels with these pieces and that is what poetry is about. Making you feel something underneath. Many of the pieces use expletives, so if that offends you, this is not for you. But if you can appreciate the use of those words as points of emphasis to sell her thoughts or emotions on a certain subject, then you can enjoy this book, completely.
The author is growing and mastering her craft, but for a debut collection, this is well done. I found favorites in: Lost Understanding, My Mistake, Insecure Confessions, If It Makes You Feel Better, Warning You, and Your Turn (which I really loved).
If you are open minded to poetry and poetic styles, then this is the book for you. If you only believe poetry should be done like Shakespeare then this may not be the collection for you.

Timeless Clock eBook Vulyncia Poindexter Reviews
The greatest thing about poetry is that when it is done right, it can touch your very soul. Timeless Clock is one of those books. a collection of poems that covers many topics. There are many poems that send you through a multifarious amount of emotions. There are several poems about love and relationships. Then again some of the relationship poems are not about good relationships. They are about hurt, pain and anger. There is a lot of rejection within these words. There is a lot of screaming, a lot of crying. They become raw and gritty. Ms. Poindexter digs from within. One particular poem that lingers in my mind is one that she wrote to her father. Let's just say he was not the best parent in the world. She speaks to her lovers. She speaks to the world around her. Each poem identifiable in the inner emotions of being human. There are also poems of triumph and achievement. Tieless Clock is a timeless book that I recommend highly.
I wasn't prepared for this type of literature. I think you should have split the poems into like groups. Kids. Family. Life. Love. Death. Just a few options. I could not read the work. I saw too many errors and too many uses of the n word.
